Poker is the game that is based on the hands of the different rank. There are ten different ranks in this game. In this article, we will talk about all ten ranks of this game one by one.

High card

When you don’t have any proper sequence of cards out of all five cards, you choose just one card. This the highest value of all cards due to which this rank is known as the high rank.

One pair

In this rank, you get one pair of any cards. For example, one pair of King or one pair of Ace.

Double pair

The rank of this hand is above the single pair. In this hand, you will get two pairs of different cards. For example, two queens of different suits and two tens of different suits.

Three of a kind

The rank of this hand is greater than the above ranks. In this rank, you will get three same rank cards of different suits. For example, three fives of club, spade, and heart.

Straight

In this arrangement of cards, you will get all five cards in a sequence but the suits will be different. For example, 3,4,5,6 and 7 of all four suits.

Flush

In this arrangement, all the five cards of the hand will be from the same suit. However, there will be no proper sequence of cards. For example 2,3,7,9 and king of heart.

Full house

In this hand, you will get one pair of same cards and one set of ‘three of a kind. The rank of this hand is above flush and all rest discussed above.

Four of a kind

This is one of the rarest hands of the poker. In this hand, you will get, all four same rank cards of all four suits. For example, jacks of all suits.

Straight flush

This is the second top rank of all hands. In this hand, you will get the combination of ‘straight’ and ‘flush’. For example 3,4,5,6 and 7 of the spade.

Royal flush

This is the number one rank of all hands. This is considered to be the rarest than all ranks. In this arrangement, you will get Ace, King, Queen, Jack, and ten of any one suit. For example, Ace, King, Queen, Jack, and ten of the Diamond.
